2027 Annual Conference
South Texas College | McAllen | May 26-28, 2027
The Alliance for Texas History is pleased to announce that we will be in McAllen next year for our third annual conference. Meeting in the Rio Grande Valley and on the campus of a community college demonstrates our commitment to telling all the stories of Texas, all across Texas. With a rich regional history, an enthusiastic host city and institution, and the energy of our conference attendees, we expect to create a memorable event.

AIR: The McAllen International Airport’s airline partners include American Airlines, United Airlines, Allegiant Air, and Delta Air Lines. McAllen International Airport (MFE) offers nonstop service to Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Las Vegas, Austin, and Phoenix. In December, we expect to provide information about discounted group fares.
BUS: There is some interest in charter bus transportation from a few key cities. If you are interested in that option, please email us at contact@atxh.org.
LOCAL: Shuttle service will be provided from hotels near the Convention Center to the STC campus during the conference. Uber is available as well.

We will be reserving blocks of rooms at three hotels near the Convention Center, about 2 miles from the STC campus. We will also work to reserve rooms downtown at the historic Casa de Palmas hotel.
