  • An updated schedule for the 2026 Annual Conference is now available. Though subject to the normal updates, this demonstrates the breadth and depth of the historians at work on Texas history. Click here to view or download the schedule.

  • Rooms at the TCU Hyatt Place are completely booked.

    Alternate hotel options from many other franchises can be found at reasonable rates within 15 minutes of the campus.

  • An informal gathering of those interested in Texas women's history will convene during the conference at Esperana’s Restaurant and Bakery. A complimentary breakfast, sponsored by fans of women’s history in Texas, will be served. Check the box in your conference registration or email Rebecca Sharpless if you plan to attend. Esperanza’s is at 1601 Park Place, Fort Worth.

  • The application period for these stipends has expired. Thanks to a grant from the Summerfield G. Roberts Foundation, ATxH is able to offer stipends of $500 for 20 graduate students of history to attend our 2026 Annual Conference in Fort Worth. An additional eight students are receiving stipends of $250.

  • The Alliance for Texas History (ATxH) invites undergraduate students to participate in our History Research Poster Showcase at our Annual Conference. Students are invited to share their historical scholarship with peers, scholars, and the broader community of Texas history enthusiasts. Awards of $300, $200, and $100 will be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-ranked posters, as determined by a judging panel. Click here for more information.   • The ATxH Guide for Sponsors, Exhibitors, & Advertisers will detail all the ways that organizations and institutions can get the word out to members, contacts, and conference attendees. For more information, contact Gary L. Pinkerton, Executive Director, at 832.409.3321 or contact@atxh.org.

  • In each city where the annual conference is held, the Alliance will choose a local or regional history-oriented organization for special recognition and partnership during the conference. These may include museums, historic sites, historical societies, or any other organization that contributes to the telling of Texas history. Click here to learn more.
