The Alliance for Texas History (ATxH), founded in March 2024, focuses on a 21st-century approach to historical analysis, dialogue, and perspective.

Our Mission
The mission of the Alliance for Texas History
is to foster a comprehensive understanding
of the rich and diverse history of Texas.
The Alliance for Texas History will include diverse groups of academic and avocational historians, local organizations and institutions, educators and public historians, archivists and librarians, and others from the public interested in the pursuit of Texas history. We aim to pursue this mission by:
Advancing accurate, comprehensive, and inclusive historical accounts and fostering integrity in public discussion about Texas’s past and present.
Honoring a commitment to scholarly research.
Creating a platform for respectful discussions where members can exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and enhance their knowledge of Texas history.
Provide historical context for contemporary issues, helping individuals understand the relevance of historical events in shaping the present.
Promoting inclusivity by acknowledging and honoring the diverse cultures and ideas shaping Texas history.
