Standing and Advisory Committees

  • Finance & Development

    Reviews the organization's financial operations, including income, expenditures, investments, staff budget, financial reports, need for additional income, and strategies for raising new income.

  • By-Laws

    Reviews the accuracy, relevance, and comprehensive status of the Organization’s Bylaws and suggests additions, deletions, and edits to the Bylaws.

  • Publications

    Oversees the principal publications of the Organization, including its journal and any other publications such as newsletters and books.

  • Nominations

    Solicits recommendations from Members for nominations to elective positions before submitting at least two but no more than three names for each open elective position to the Board.

  • Annual Conference Program

    Oversees the solicitation and selection of proposals for presentation at the organization’s Annual Meeting.

  • Annual Conference Local Arrangements

    Charged with making all local arrangements with university, hotels, and other needs.

  • Digital Communications

    Regularly plans, implements, and oversees the social media of the Organization on various online platforms that it deems appropriate.

  • Committee on Public Statements

    The committee will receive and review all requests for the issuance of a public statement by the Alliance for Texas History.
